FAQ’s
Some of our frequently asked questions:
Why should I use a travel agent?
As a travel agent, I can make it easier on you. Life may have you running in circles, and often there are not enough hours in the day to finish the things you need to get done. You might be ready for that vacation, but you don't have the time to really sit down and plan it out and get it booked.
Do you charge a fee?
I do not charge a fee unless the trip being booked is a very complicated one. This is very rare and you would be notified up front of the minimal fee, if that were the case.
How do you get paid?
I am paid commission by the vendors (cruise lines, hotels, tour companies, etc.).
Do I need to pay in full at time of booking?
That depends on a few factors. Most, but not all, companies allow an initial deposit to book and give a deadline for the remainder to be paid in full. The time of your booking is very dependant of that. If you don't book far enough in advance, you may have to pay in full at time of booking.
Do you book group travel?
Yes!
Do I need travel insurance?
I always advise to get travel insurance. You never know what could happen, and the cost can really add up. Flight delays, cancellations, medical emergencies. They are all unfortunate, but they do still happen and we can't control when. There are different travel insurance plans so it is easy to find one to fit your needs.
Do I need a passport and/or a visa?
A passport is the best form of identification when traveling and a requirement for international travel.
Domestic travel within the United States requires a state-issued driver's license or identification.
Travel Visas for international travel are required for U.S. citizens by some countries for entry and will be advised at the time of booking. If you are not a U.S. citizen, we advise you to speak with the consulate where you are a passport holder.
What if I don't see the vacation I am looking for on your website?
Just let me know where you want to go! Just because you don't see it on my website does not mean I don't have an offer for you. There are literally too many to list. I'd rather not put too much out there that would overwhelm you to sift through. I will gladly pull up offers for you and send you quotes.
When should I arrive at the airport for my flight?
You should arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to departure for domestic flights, and three hours for international flights. We strongly recommend reconfirming your flight time 24 hours prior to departure, for both origin and destination flights.
If I am cruising, when should I arrive in the city where my cruise sails from?
This all depends on where you are coming from. If you are flying into the city, I would recommend to fly in at least the night before and stay in a hotel. We all know how flights can get delayed or canceled, and if you can afford the extra day, why not? It makes for less stress.
If you are driving in, just add some buffer time in case of traffic delays.
